I love framed panels of gorgeous wallpaper. They’re a fresh take on the old standard, plus you achieve pattern, texture, color and de-facto art. (Not to mention cutting the work load in half!) Love.

I’ve got pixie cuts on the brain. Ever since I went back to my short/spiky ‘do, I’ve only wanted to go shorter.  (And let me tell ya’, it’s an addiction that’s tough to fight since I can cut my own hair, and don’t need to get an appointment/pay for upkeep!)

The age-old argument is that ‘men find long hair sexier’. While I’m all for making your man happy (though mine actually thinks my short hair is sexier on me than long), I believe that first you have to please yourself. Short hair says that you’re confident, fuss-free, and unafraid to reveal yourself….and if that’s not sexy, then I don’t know what is.

Here are some great examples of sexy short hair – in my opinion, these women have reaped HUGE benefits from ‘taking it all off’:

I love a good grasscloth wall. LOVE. It’s another one of those materials that yields multiple layers thanks to it’s color, texture and sheen. Take a look at some of my favorites…

I’ve never met a glass tile that I didn’t like. Major visual interest, multiple ‘layers’ thanks to the color, sheen, and grid pattern… I’m nuts for the stuff, no matter the room.

P90X

Monday, July 19th, 2010

I love curves, but mine are starting to take over my body. So my girlfriend Tiffany and I have decided to spend this summer embarking on the journey (through hell) known as P90X. Six days a week, 1+ hour a day, for 90 days. I’ve memorized the infomercial (which I prefer to watch while chomping on cheese…is that wrong?), and I’m ready to bite the bullet and bring the pain.

I took my ‘before’ pictures on Sat., and am now in the zone. I’ll let you know how it’s going 30 (and 60, and 90) days from now – Send the good vibes, ya’ll!

My teen niece and nephew are visiting from NJ, and we are introducing them to the splendors of Disneyland today. In honor of our trip, here are some interiors inspired by Walt.

Before & After

I love change. Visually, I’m a bored-easily kinda’ gal, so I like the instant gratification of a new color, new cut, or new design. Here are some of my favorite transformations:

Early J.Lo:

Behold the power of a nude lip and bronzer. (The hairdresser in me applauds the softening of the hair color and eyebrows as well.)

I freakin’ love this. I’ve definitely lived my life by this mantra, but had never really put it into words. I should have this tattooed…or at least make a T-shirt.
