Tchotchkes

So, I have a ton of them. I’ve definitely trimmed the fat over the years, but I still have vast collections of ‘stuff I love’. The challenge is finding ways to incorporate it all into cohesive design schemes that aren’t cluttered, and here are some samples of how that could look!

Milk Glass collection:

Wikimedia Commons

(How brilliant! I love that the wall color is so strong and saturated – perfect way to set off the glass.)

Beaded necklaces:

Desire to Inspire

(Who knew that all of my necklaces have the potential to become a type of crown molding?! I’ve got to do this…)

Rug beaters:

Country Living

(Genius. I love that the collection is now 3-D wallpaper in a ‘throw away’ space like a stairwell.)

Driftwood:

52 Flea

(I collect wood, stones and shells whenever I’m at the beach, and it all ends up in piles. How fab to string pieces up and create a free-form chandelier.)

Plates:

Remodelista

(New meaning for the term ‘blue plate special’.)

Simplicity is Powerful

I’m a fan of the Sea Fan. (Bah-dump-bump.)
