Janelle Monae rocks my world. She looks like a dandified Billy Holiday, and her sound is…well, like no other. Her new album The ArchAndroid is a genre defying musical tour de force in which she’s created her own world. And I’m buying a ticket.

So I was having lunch with a colleague at the Beverly Hilton last week, and Queen Latifah happened to be filming a movie at the hotel. I am a HUGE fan of hers, and it turns out she’s a fan of Myles of Style…..color me gobsmacked. Pinch me, pinch me, pinch me now.

Lynn Yeager is a fixture on the fashion scene, and I LOVE her look. She’s freaky deeky, singular and surprising. (I’m not saying I’ll want to traipse about looking like a giant cupie doll when I’m her age, but I love that she does.) This woman makes life interesting. She also make me miss New York.
